August heralds the arrival of new stocks of Tamata’s Japanese maples from New Zealand, arriving in time to showcase the spectacular range of autumn colours for which these trees are renowned.
Tamata’s receival & distribution yard located in Rugby has been extended to accommodate the additional stock which comprises many of our customers favourites such as Garnet and Skeeters Broom along with some lesser known cultivars including Emerald Lace and Shidava Gold, all grown to a mature specification.
While the name Tamata has to date been synonymous with quality Japanese maples grown to a mature specification, Tamata has this year, for the first time, expanded its product offering to UK customers by including a selection of Japanese maples grown to a semi-mature specification. These trees display the characteristics and form of their more mature counterparts, having sufficient size and maturity to add substance and presence to a garden design but for significantly less outlay. The selection available within this first consignment comprises over a dozen varieties including lesser known cultivars such as Koto ito komachi (roughly translates to “beautiful little girl”) and Crimson Princess, a delicate weeping form which carries a deep red colour throughout the entire growing season before turning a vivid scarlet in autumn.
A selection of mature and semi-mature Tamata maples will be on display at various trade exhibitions over this coming autumn, the first being the Four Oaks Trade Show to be held at Cheshire over the 2nd and 3rd September. Visit Patrick at our exhibition stand E61.
A catelogue listing all available stock including the new arrivals can be viewed or downloaded from this webite www.tamata.co.uk or enquiries can be directed to enquiries@tamata.co.uk.
